"I have always had a passion for animals and was pursuing a career as a veterinarian when I found dog training. I started my career with dogs working at a vet clinic when I was 16. I worked my way up to being a Vet-Tech by the time I was 18. At this time I was also attending college taking my prerequisite classes to be able to apply for veterinary school.
This was all until one of my dogs led me to the world of dog training. She was practicing a lot of the same behavioral issues that most dogs struggle with. Now it wasn't always easy but once I started working with her I fell in love with the process and was hooked! it was amazing to see her go from this out-of-control dog that wouldn't listen to a dog that I could take anywhere.
I quickly realized that I just did not know how to communicate with her in a way that she understood. Once I started training with my dog, I realized how many other people were in the same situation. I noticed that people needed help repairing their relationship with their dogs and regaining balance in their homes. I decided that this was truly what I wanted to do. I wanted to help other people understand their relationship with their dogs better. At this time my husband was in the military and I received a military spouse grant to attend school and receive my dog training certification.
Since then, I have gained over 10 years of experience working with different dogs struggling with a variety of behavioral issues. I have served as an intern with multiple trainers to polish my skills, I have worked in various training facilities (Including working at The Good Dog LA and with world renown trainer Sean O'Sea), become an approved evaluator for the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen program, and previously trained for the non-profit group TADSAW, which provides service dogs to veterans and current military suffering from TBI, MST and PTSD. I look to always continue my education to keep a diverse training approach and continually stay up-to-date on current training methods.
I cant wait meet you! "
